Tour Itinerary
7:00 - We meet in front of the Vasil Levski stadium and set off towards Berkovitsa and the Kom hut. The transfer takes about 2 hours 15 minutes.
9:30 - On arrival at the Kom hut the guides give the group a short briefing and safety instruction and check the equipment. We shoulder our packs, fit the skins to the skis and set off to carry out the day's plan.
The pace will be moderate and suited to everyone taking part. Moving through the wooded belt, we reach the ridge almost before we know it. Now we can begin to enjoy the snowy views around us. After some more skinning along the ridge we reach the summit point (2,016 m). We take time for a rest, something light to eat, a cup of tea from the flasks and photographs. The panoramas really do make you dream of one day getting from here all the way to Cape Emine.
Pleased with the climb, we set off back. Now comes the best part - the descent…
Tired but happy, we stop straight at the hut.
