If you have never tried it but would like to, we offer you a one-day ski escape to Belmeken peak at the weekend. For its enviable 2,626 m, Belmeken is relatively easy to climb for beginner hillwalkers and skiers. And at its foot lies the well-known Belmeken reservoir, at 1,923 metres above sea level.

All participants must have an avalanche kit.

To take part in the SKI TOURING FOR BEGINNERS programme you must be a piste skier. If you can handle red runs, this programme will be an enjoyable experience for you.

Tour Itinerary

We meet at 7:00 in the car park in front of the Vasil Levski national stadium, for everyone booked on the organised transport. The journey takes around 2 hours, depending on the roads.
 
9:00 - Anyone coming by car meets in front of the Belmeken national sports base. Once everyone is there, the guides give the group a short briefing and safety instruction. We prepare the skis and set off at a comfortable pace.
 
About 700 m of ascent awaits us. The climb is relatively gentle and has no technical sections. We will have plenty of breaks and the pace will suit the participants, so that everyone reaches the summit. Belmeken is exceptionally panoramic and will reveal captivating views towards the neighbouring peaks of Ravni Chal, Sivri Chal and Ortachal. All smiling and pleased, we take a photograph and set off back. And now for the best part - the descent.

Important:

In the event of a change in weather conditions during the tour or other unforeseen situations, the guide may change the route or offer another alternative option to the participants for their safety.
If the program cannot happen due to bad weather forecast, the organizer will refund 100% of the price to the participants
In order to take part in the tour, you must be in good physical health and condition, and notify the organizer in case you have any illnesses or injuries
If the number of participants is less than the minimum 6 and the program will not happen, the organizer will notify all registered participants up to 7 days before the event

20 or more days before tour start: Cancellation fee of 10 €, as well as if there are actual costs incurred for bus transfers, hotel reservations, etc., included in the package price of the trip
Between 19 and 14 days before tour start: 30% from the price
Between 13 and 7 days before tour start: 60% from the price
Less than 7 days before tour start: 100% from the price
