Tour Itinerary
We set off towards Borovets. For anyone coming by car, we meet at 9:30 at the Yastrebets lift. On arrival we buy tickets for the gondola, which takes us up to 2,345 m and saves us that much ascent. The guides give the group a short briefing and safety instruction and check the equipment over. We shoulder our packs and set off to carry out the day's plan.
Our first stop along the way is the well-known Musala hut (2,389 m), about an hour from the top lift station.
After the Musala hut there is a slightly steeper climb with plenty of short breaks; it will present no difficulty to anyone. And so, almost without noticing, we reach our place for the night - the Ledeno Ezero shelter.
Towards evening, if people wish and the weather allows, we will climb Musala for the sunset.
An early rise in the dark. We put on head torches and crampons and set out for something that stays with you for a long time. In the first moments of the morning, when the sky begins to take on soft gold and pink tones, the light slowly washes over the snow-covered summit and creates the feeling that the world is waking up in front of us. We stand on the roof of the Balkans, surrounded by the grandeur of nature, and in that moment everything else fades - all that remains is the magnificent sunrise, which makes you feel the true power of the mountain and connect with yourself.
We descend again to the shelter for breakfast and tea, gather our luggage and set off back towards the Yastrebets lift and Borovets.
If the group would like, we will have lunch in Samokov. Then the drive to Sofia, and the end of another epic programme.

Headlamp - An absolute must-have accessory for every mountaineer. It may be necessary for the group to start a trek very early or finish the trek in the dark (force majeure). In these situations, each participant must have a headlamp. We recommend going with a proven brand like Petzl or BlackDiamond

About 40 liters backpack - Quite enough for one or two day hikes. Please come to treks with a backpack suitable for trekking. Very often, each participant needs to attach snowshoes to their backpack, and this cannot happen with urban backpacks
