Vihren Peak for the First Days of Spring
The one-day winter ascent of Vihren peak is a challenge that combines raw beauty, strong feelings and a high physical workload. March offers the best conditions - more stable snow, longer days and crystalline views over Pirin. Besides Vihren, the route also includes the ascent of Hvoynati peak, from which the winter panoramas are striking. The day ends at a local restaurant, where we hold a short review and symbolically close the winter season.

Tour Itinerary
The transfer to Shiligarnika takes about 2:30 hours.
Before we set off we hold a short briefing - we go over the route, check the equipment and confirm the rules for safety in the winter mountains. When everything is ready we shoulder our packs and head for the Vihren hut. There we take a short break and prepare for the main part of the walk. We continue towards the area of Muratovo lake, from which the steep climb to Hvoynati peak begins. On the summit striking snow-covered panoramas await - to the north mighty Vihren rises, to the south stand Muratov peak, Donchovi Karauli and Banderishki Chukar, and to the east elegant Todorka stands out. After a short break we head down to the Kabata col, from which the final climb to Vihren begins. If conditions are favourable we will stay longer on the summit for photographs and to take in the view. We finish the day by descending the same way and holding a review at a local restaurant.

Headlamp - An absolute must-have accessory for every mountaineer. It may be necessary for the group to start a trek very early or finish the trek in the dark (force majeure). About 40 liters backpack - Quite enough for one or two day hikes. Please come to treks with a backpack suitable for trekking. Very often, each participant needs to attach snowshoes to their backpack, and this cannot happen with urban backpacks
