A one-day ascent of Vezhen (2,198 m), the roof of the Teteven ridge, up a steep, direct southern trail with sweeping panoramas. We head straight up a spur on the southern flank of the Zlatitsa-Teteven range - a short, intense day with no overnight, leading to the highest point of the massif. The trail is direct and unambiguous, but the final third is genuinely steep. On a clear day the ridge delivers views toward Sredna Gora, Rila, and Pirin.

Tour Itinerary
We start from a trailhead between Anton and Klisura (~1,109 m, reached via a mountain road). The first kilometer is a gentle warm-up, after which the trail steadily steepens. The final third (roughly km 4.7–6.4) holds a sustained 22–27% grade over 500 m stretches and leads directly onto the ridge, right at Vezhen's summit (2,198 m), the highest point of the Zlatitsa-Teteven range. Views south toward Sredna Gora and the Sofia valley, north into the Central Balkan. Descent via the same trail.
