Tour Itinerary

The drive to Slovenia is around 1,000 km and takes about 12-13 hours including breaks, which are 30 minutes every 3 hours for food and coffee. We arrive and check in at a lodge by Lake Bohinj. The evening is free.

A good night's sleep, breakfast and a visit to Lake Bled. We visit Bled Castle with its panoramic view. Optional: a boat trip to the island and a tasting of the famous Cremeschnitte (cream cake).

In the afternoon, a walk through the beautiful Vintgar gorge and the Šum waterfall.

In the evening we leave time free to prepare for the Triglav ascent, and hold the briefing.

Breakfast and a transfer to the car park at Aljažev Dom. The climb to Kredarica hut begins - a walk of around 6-7 hours with breathtaking views. We check into the hut, have dinner and spend the night under alpine stars.

7.0 km 1500 meters 7 hours

An early climb to the summit, around 2-2.5 hours. Photographs and time to enjoy the views over the whole of Slovenia and beyond. We descend back to the hut for lunch and a well-earned rest. Depending on how the group is faring and on the weather, we may take an alternative path down towards Vodnikov Dom. The evening is for rest and free time.

20.0 km 370 meters 1900 meters 10 hours 1 peak

Today's programme depends entirely on how the group is feeling and how much energy people have left. We have several options:

Option 1: complete relaxation, rest and free time around Lake Bohinj.

Option 2: take the Vogel cable car and climb the panoramic summit of Vogel (1,922 m).

Option 3: a circuit of the Seven Triglav Lakes. This is the hardest of the three, a round route from Koča pri Savici to the Seven Triglav Lakes hut (1,685 m) and back.

Breakfast and the drive back to Sofia, with breaks along the way and arrival late in the evening.
