A two-day trekking programme in Pirin: an ascent of Dzhangal peak (2,730 m) and a night at Tevno Ezero.
Tevno Ezero is one of those places in Pirin that stay with you for good - a shelter amid the ring of lakes of northern Pirin, where in the evening the silence is broken only by the lapping of the water and the talk around the table. We set off from the Bezbog hut and climb through the Dzhangal gate to Dzhangal peak - a raw, magnificent summit whose south face is startling, with a panorama taking in almost the whole of northern Pirin. We descend to the Tevno Ezero shelter, and in the evening, if the group has the strength and the inclination, we climb briefly to Momini Dvori to meet the sunset above the shelter.

Tour Itinerary
The lift takes us from the Gotse Delchev hut up to the Bezbog hut (2,240 m), from where we set off on the yellow waymarked path towards Popovo lake. A little before the lake we turn aside towards the Dzhangal gate (2,480 m) - a narrow pass between two worlds, beyond which the mountain changes character abruptly. From here on we walk among rock and moraine, skirting crags and steep scree, until we reach the southern edge of Dzhangal (2,730 m) - a summit that is hard to forget. We descend carefully towards the Samodivski lakes, pass the Left Kralev Dvor gate and reach the Tevno Ezero shelter, where the day ends with dinner and, if people wish, a short climb to Momini Dvori for the sunset.
With a last look at the lake and the shelter we have come to know over one night, we head back along the familiar way - through the Left Kralev Dvor gate, past the Samodivski and Popovo lakes - to the Bezbog hut, from where the lift returns us to the valley.
