The Seven Rila Lakes need no introduction - they are one of those places every hillwalker knows they will reach sooner or later.
To avoid the overloaded paths and the noise of summer weekends, we suggest you visit the blue necklace of Rila with us on a weekday.

Tour Itinerary
Our walk will start „lazily“ from Panichishte, as we take the chairlift up to the top station and the Rila Lakes hut. From here our real walk begins. We will go round the lakes from west to east, and the long day will let us enjoy each one separately and learn more about this unique ecosystem and why protecting it matters so much.
At the high point of the day we will climb Ezerniya peak (2,550 m), from which we will survey the whole cirque and north-western Rila through the eyes of the eagles, take beautiful panoramic photographs and eat something to fuel the descent.
Which will be no less epic than the climb, since on the way back we still have four whole lakes to see. Here the ground is gentler and more pleasant, and is a real rest for body and senses after the exertion of the first part of the day.
