Climbing Rish peak (1,442 m) through the Shegava canyon from the village of Razhdavitsa is a combination of beauty and adventure. The route leads through a picturesque gorge and forest paths, and opens panoramic views from the highest peak of the Konyavska mountains. Along the way we pass through narrow defiles and green meadows, and immerse ourselves in the calm of a less well-known but striking route.
The programme suits moderately experienced hillwalkers looking for an adventurous experience - we are on unmarked paths throughout.

Tour Itinerary
The transfer to the village of Razhdavitsa takes about 1 hour 45 minutes. After a short briefing we head for the Shegava canyon. The first kilometre runs parallel to the river Struma on an old country road, until we reach the entrance of the canyon, where curious rock forms are revealed.
From here the route continues along the dry bed of the Shegava river. After about another kilometre with almost no height gain we enter the heart of the canyon, from where the real climb to our final objective begins - Rish peak (1,442 m), the highest point of the Konyavska mountains.
On the way down we pass through the village of Garbino, choosing for ourselves which path to take in order to make a circular route. The walk offers variety - river, canyon, rock, forest paths and striking panoramas from the summit.
