Tour Itinerary
The winter walk begins with a climb through forest and ski runs towards the Razhdavitsa crest, from which panoramas of the raw alpine crags quickly open up. We continue along the crest towards the snow- and ice-bound massifs of Lovnitsa and Kamilata peaks, and as we approach them we turn aside to the frozen Strashnoto lake under its lid of snow. The place, ringed by the sheer granite towers of the Kupenite, is among the most imposing winter landscapes in Rila.
After a short break at the shelter we descend to the Malyovitsa hut for a rest and some tea. The walk ends with a return along the main path through the valley to the starting point at the Malyovitsa school.

Headlamp - An absolute must-have accessory for every mountaineer. It may be necessary for the group to start a trek very early or finish the trek in the dark (force majeure). In these situations, each participant must have a headlamp. We recommend going with a proven brand like Petzl or BlackDiamond

About 40 liters backpack - Quite enough for one or two day hikes. Please come to treks with a backpack suitable for trekking. Very often, each participant needs to attach snowshoes to their backpack, and this cannot happen with urban backpacks
