Tour Itinerary
The transfer to the village takes about 3:00 hours.
On arrival we will make a full circuit of the most beautiful village in Bulgaria, where local people will tell us its history and how the buildings were restored. Lunch at a traditional inn follows, and then a transfer to the starting point of our walk up to the „Kongur“ hut. In dry weather it may be possible to reach the hut by car. If we have enough time we will also have the chance to visit one of the well-known waterfalls in the Belasitsa mountains.
Today we rise early, have breakfast and prepare our packs so that we can set off as soon as possible. The real body of the weekend's walk lies ahead. The route begins on a well-marked path that winds through wooded and open ground on the northern slope of the mountain. We will cross steeper sections until we reach Radomir peak, the highest point of Belasitsa at 2,029 m. From the summit panoramic views open out to the south, with clear sight of the Greek mountains and Lake Kerkini.
