An exhilarating spring adventure in the heart of the Teteven Balkan awaits us. We climb the panoramic Petrahilya peak (1,179 m), which rises above Teteven and opens breathtaking views. We then take the picturesque "Under the Spray of the Waterfall" eco-trail to reach the Skoka waterfall - one of the most beautiful natural treasures of the region. To finish, we visit the Glozhene Monastery of St George the Victorious - perched on a rocky summit, from which an unforgettable panorama opens.

Tour Itinerary
The transfer to the town of Teteven takes around 1 hour 30 minutes. Our spring adventure in the Teteven Balkan begins with the ascent of emblematic Petrahilya peak (1,179 m), which rises proudly above the town. The path takes us through fresh forest and open ridges, and our efforts are rewarded with a majestic panorama towards the Central Balkan, the Fore-Balkan and the surrounding summits of Treskavets, Ostrich and Cherven. On the summit we take a well-earned rest and enjoy lunch amid the boundless view, before heading down to our next stop. Next comes the descent to the Opasniya Zab (Dangerous Tooth) shelter, which offers another magnificent view over the valley of the Beli Vit river and Teteven. We continue to the Skoka waterfall, where we enjoy the cool air and the beauty of the falling water.
On the way back to Sofia we call in at the Glozhene Monastery of St George the Victorious - set high in the rocks, it is the perfect end to the day.
