The Malyovitsa section of Rila is known for its raw alpine character and striking summits, which draw hikers and climbers from across Bulgaria. Among them Orlovets stands out - emblematic for its steep slopes and its panoramic views over the whole Malyovitsa ridge. Our one-day walk takes us to exactly that summit, and afterwards we climb Kamilata (2,621 m), whose name comes from its distinctive shape, resembling a two-humped camel. An exhilarating adventure amid the raw beauty of Rila awaits.

Tour Itinerary
The transfer to the Malyovitsa mountaineering school takes about an hour and a half. On arrival we sort our packs, run through the route and head for Malyovitsa hut, where we take a short break. We continue to the BAK shelter, passing through the first and second terraces of the Malyovitsa valley. There we recharge and set off for our main goal - Orlovets. From the summit we enjoy breathtaking views over the surrounding peaks, take photographs and have a short talk taking in the panorama. After a rest at the BAK shelter we head for Kamilata. Anyone who prefers can wait at the shelter. We then descend back to the mountaineering school, and if we wish we round off the day in a welcoming tavern, sharing our impressions of the day.
