Tour Itinerary

The transfer to the town of Karlovo takes around 2 hours 30 minutes.

The route begins gently, walking upstream along the river. Right at the start we stop at the beautiful Suchurum waterfall, and then take a path that rises gently through dense beech forest. On the way we pass the Hubavets and Balkanski Rozi huts, and see the Mechi Grob area - a place with legends of its own. For anyone after a little adrenaline we also offer a short crossing of the Stara Reka, to reach a more hidden and mysterious waterfall.

We then continue to our main goal for the day - the Karlovsko Praskalo waterfall. Before the final push we stop at the Vasil Levski hut, where we leave our packs and make a short walk to the waterfall itself. Lunch by the hut follows, and then the descent back to Karlovo. To round the day off properly, on the way to Sofia we stop for our favourite ice cream - a well-earned reward after an unforgettable adventure.
