Disilitsa is one of the lesser-known but genuinely striking summits on the Polezhan branch of Northern Pirin, and we climb it from Bezbog hut over the Bezbozhki saddle. This one-day trek for intermediate hikers takes us into the wild cirque beneath the peak, far from the crowds streaming towards neighbouring Bezbog.
We set off early from Bezbog hut to catch Pirin at its rawest and most honest. The route pairs an easy approach with the wild solitude of the mountain's rarely visited corners and that is exactly what makes Disilitsa so special.

Tour Itinerary
From Bezbog hut we follow the right shore of Bezbog Lake and begin the climb towards the Bezbog saddle. The views open up almost at once, the lake and the ruins of the old hut fall away behind us, while ahead the stark panorama of the Polezhan ridge unfolds.
At the saddle we turn into the cirque below Disilitsa, where the path grows wilder and lonelier. Waymarking is sparse here, we follow red arrows sprayed onto the rocks and the cairns that generations of hikers have stacked along the ridge. This is no longer a tourist highway but real mountain, and that is precisely why we come.
Late in the summer the slopes hold a sweet surprise - thick blueberry meadows heavy with fruit. It is worth stopping here to fill your hands and rest before the final push. The small Pirin blueberry is a real treasure and one of the tastiest experiences the mountain hands us for free.
The last section to the summit is steep but not technical. From the crest of Disilitsa (2700 m) an imposing view opens up, to the east the Bezbog ridge and the valley of the Mesta drop away, while to the west, barely an hour walk off, neighbouring Golyama Strazha rises. Up here on the summit we are left alone with the silence and the dizzying Pirin space. We return the same way - through the cirque and back over the Bezbog saddle to the hut, carrying the calm of people who have just climbed one of Pirin's hidden gems.
