Tour Itinerary

The transfer to the village of Kamena takes about 3:00 hours. On arrival, a walk awaits us through the beautiful valley of the Kameshnitsa river, where we will visit a striking series of waterfalls, the Kamenitsa falls among them. A short transfer then brings us to the start of the day's second walk, which takes us to our overnight stop.

Today we rise early, have breakfast and pack so that we can set off as soon as possible. The real body of the weekend's trek is ahead of us, with considerable ascent and distance to cover. Our way begins on a well-marked path crossing wooded slopes and open ground on the northern side of the mountain. We will pass through sections of steeper climbing until we reach the highest point of Belasitsa - Radomir peak, which rises to 2,029 metres. From here we can enjoy remarkable views to the south, with clear sight of the Greek mountains and Lake Kerkini.
On the way back we follow the crest of the range itself, which runs along the border between Bulgaria and Greece. We will cross several summits, among them Debelo Bardo and Kongur peak (1,951 m), from which new views over the surrounding country open up.
