Pelion - a mountain of myth, centaurs and remarkable views.
According to ancient Greek legend, the twelve gods came down from Olympus in summer to rest among the greenery and cool air of Pelion, to bathe in springs as clear as a tear that rise in many places there, and to look more closely at the azure sea through virgin forest. In many places the rock drops sharply to the water, forming sheltered coves reachable only from the sea. For divers it is a paradise, and you can spend hours exploring the underwater world. The coastline alternates fine sandy beaches with large Mediterranean stones. Secluded little beaches are everywhere, and they give you solitude far from the crowds.

Volos combines all the charm of the sea with the mysterious beauty of the mountain of the centaurs. It is among the most visited and most beautiful cities in Greece. The wealth of the region and its varied history have left their mark on its architecture.

An early start from Sofia to Volos, 4:00.
We settle into a welcoming campsite on the shore. After a short coffee break and a rest from the journey we gather for a briefing and are assigned to the boats. Our experienced instructors will take you through kayak training on the shore and then on the water. The evening is free, with dinner at the campsite or in the nearby village.
We get up, have breakfast and a warm-up, and set off on today's adventure. The paddling route is pitched at beginners and will be set by the day's forecast. Every hour there is a break ashore, to keep the experience an enjoyable one. Some will be working on a tan, others may dive. After the day's paddle we will fill the time with a walk into Volos - a look along the waterfront and a meal at a traditional „tsipouradiko“, or, as we would call it, a taverna.
Again we give ourselves over to paddling and beaches. We will explore the little-known shores of the Atlas islands and enjoy the quiet and the remarkable small beaches where we land. The evening is free.
More paddling ahead. A circuit of this charming island and a meal at a taverna by the water. If we have time we will certainly take you to one of the most popular beaches on the peninsula.
Do not forget to bring your snorkelling gear on this day.
