Tour Itinerary
The journey takes approximately 7 hours, including breaks for rest.
Accommodation will be based on your prior selection—camping, bungalow, or hotel. After a short rest following the trip, it’s time to paddle. All participants will attend a safety briefing, and those without experience will receive kayaking training from our experienced coaches. We’ll assign participants to kayaks according to their skill level, and then it’s time to head towards the horizon and bid farewell to the sunset from the sea.
The evening is free for leisure activities.
After a hearty breakfast, the group gathers for the morning briefing from the guides, during which the day’s plan will be explained. We hop into our kayaks and set off toward Aphrodite’s Cave. This landmark is accessible only by water, and along the way, we’ll enjoy the fascinating coastline.
We’ll take a break on a small island with rocky shores perfect for snorkeling enthusiasts. Of course, we won’t miss the chance to dock at fantastic beaches for a cold drink or a bite to eat.
For those who want to deepen their kayaking skills, our guides have prepared a short training session on rescue techniques and other useful exercises.
After another hearty breakfast, we board the vans for a short transfer to the beach where we’ll begin the day’s kayaking adventure. Today’s route combines both sea and river kayaking. The river flows gently, allowing us to paddle upstream with ease.
According to ancient Greek mythology, the “escort of souls,” the god Hermes, guided the souls of the dead to the place where the Acheron River meets the Cocytus River. There, they boarded the ferry of Charon, the boatman, who carried them to the other shore to complete their journey to the realm of Hades.
The ecosystem of the Acheron River is particularly fascinating. Bird enthusiasts will be delighted to know that 196 bird species nest in this area.
