This year we will once again celebrate Christmas in epic style - amid the beauty of Rila, at the welcoming „Malkata Yurta“ hut. There will be good company, a winter mood, hot food and several options for walks according to the level of the participants.

Tour Itinerary
Departure from Sofia in the morning. The departure time will be confirmed depending on who is joining which walk. Transfer to the Rila Lakes lift, taking 1 hour 45 minutes. We settle in at the „Malkata Yurta“ hut.
This year we are offering walks according to the level of the participants:
👣 For beginners - a walk to the Lovna hut (6 km in total)
🥾 For the moderately experienced - a walk and the ascent of Haramiyata peak (2,465 m)
🏔️ For the experienced - the ascent of Damga peak (2,669 m)

Headlamp - An absolute must-have accessory for every mountaineer. It may be necessary for the group to start a trek very early or finish the trek in the dark (force majeure). In these situations, each participant must have a headlamp. We recommend going with a proven brand like Petzl or BlackDiamond

About 40 liters backpack - Quite enough for one or two day hikes. Please come to treks with a backpack suitable for trekking. Very often, each participant needs to attach snowshoes to their backpack, and this cannot happen with urban backpacks
