Tour Itinerary
Sithonia lies about 420 km south of Sofia. We expect to arrive in the early afternoon. We settle in a step from the beach at an excellent campsite with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Nights are in tents. We can help anyone who would rather rent a caravan or book hotel accommodation, for an additional charge. We are on the water on the very first day - after a safety briefing and a short session on kayak technique with our experienced instructors.
Now that you know the boats and the paddles, our journey begins through the island labyrinth of the Blue Lagoon, in the north-eastern part of the Sithonia peninsula in Halkidiki, on the peninsula's eastern shore. The long strip of sand along the bay does not stand apart from Sithonia's other beaches, but some stretches of Vourvourou - Karydi, for one - are held to be among the finest on the peninsula. Diaporos is the large island that shelters Vourvourou from the open sea, creating something like a vast swimming pool of calm water and beautiful untouched beaches. Besides the paddling there will be plenty of time for the beach and for the places along the waterfront. If the group would like to, we can walk to one of the nearby villages and have dinner at a taverna by the sea.
Fine white sand, huge rock formations in striking shapes and a turquoise sea make this place extraordinarily photogenic. The beach is ringed with greenery, which gives it natural shade and freshness.
🎶 Music, bar and atmosphere
Orange Beach is known for its beach bar and the young, lively mood it creates. Expect refreshing cocktails, easy music and a party atmosphere all day long.
🐠 Perfect for snorkelling
The rocky ground around the beach shelters small fish and marine life - a wonderful spot for snorkelling and underwater photography.
The morning is for kayaking or the beach, until 12:00.
